Friday 04 April from 18:00 to 20:00 at the Garden Gallery

Tattersalls Club is delighted to invite members to an exclusive evening at the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney, celebrating the opening of Botanica: The Art of Disguise and Deception. This captivating exhibition explores how plants and wildlife use mimicry, camouflage, and trickery to survive and thrive. The opening celebration will take place on Friday, 04 April, 2025, from 18:00 to 20:00 in the newly renovated Garden Gallery, offering guests the first opportunity to experience these remarkable works of art.

The Botanica exhibition showcases an extraordinary collection of botanical artworks that highlight nature’s most deceptive and ingenious adaptations. From the tiger orchid, which lures male wasps into spreading its pollen, to the Venus flytrap’s cunning insect-catching mechanism, each piece tells a story of survival through illusion. Curated by Alissa Cook and Katharine Rogers, with the support of Judy Dunstan, this exhibition is more than just a celebration of artistry—it’s a tribute to conservation and creativity. With all works available for purchase, Botanica also raises essential funds for the Foundation & Friends of the Botanic Gardens, supporting educational programs that provide free excursions for eligible schools.

As part of our partnership with the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney, Tattersalls Club has secured six complimentary tickets for members to attend this exclusive opening night. Due to limited availability, we encourage interested members to RSVP by Thursday, 27 March, to secure their spot. Don’t miss this enchanting evening celebrating the art and science of nature’s greatest illusions.
