4 Swims
3 Golds, 1 Silver
3 State records.
Those incredible numbers are why we have chosen Paris Zhang as our Athletic Department Member of the Month.
On Saturday, Paris swam as part of the Tattersalls Team, which competed in the NSW Masters at Sydney Olympic Park.
In the first event of the day, Paris swam the 100m freestyle in 1:01.78, beating the old record by 2 seconds and setting off what would be a successful day.
In her second Swim, Paris broke the NSW record for the 50m Butterfly, stopping the clock in 30.23s and winning her second gold.
The third individual swim saw Paris break her third record of the day, completing the 100 backstroke in 1:09.00, winning her division and the overall women’s division by 9 seconds.
Paris’ fourth Swim (ironically, the one that wasn’t a record) was arguably her most impressive. As the chosen Butterflier for the mixed Medley Relay team, Paris’s swim was the catalyst in the team finishing second, making up valuable metres and placings in the pool, which led to our final swimmer being able to secure silver for the team.
With Paris now fully invested in Team Tatts, we know it’s only a matter of time before we’re writing about her record-breaking achievements once again.
Well done, Paris! Such amazing results!
