From Members:
“Prof Millgate’s wine evening was stupendous fun. The breadth and depth of his wine knowledge and willingness to share tasting notes, food pairings, and cellaring advice were unparalleled. In a convivial atmosphere of kindred oenophiles, we felt like intrepid explorers of both old and new world wines transversing the globe and time travelling through spectacular vintages! A brilliant experience” Ian Hedley
“Thanks for a great night!! Everyone did a great job and the questions were challenging which was great!! Look forward to the next one.” Mark Natoli
“The Mystery Wine event on Wednesday evening was another unique Tattersalls Club occasion thanks to the extraordinary generosity of one of its members, Michael Milgate. Michael’s enthusiasm for, and deep knowledge, of fine wines from around the world made for an entertaining and informative night where we tasted rare (and expensive) wines from Michael’s cellar, each one accompanied with entertaining stories of their provenance and how Michael secured them.” Russell Debney
“A great night. Please pass on my appreciation to Michael. He was very generous in sharing some fine examples of his extensive wine cellar and his expert knowledge. Well out of my depth in the identification of the specific wines on offer in the cleverly thought-out flights (some people in the room scored very well). I would hope that the Club could secure Michael in hosting similar events in the future. (Unfortunately, I am away for the Pinot tasting).” John Dowey.
We already have a second edition scheduled for October this year.
